Last night we did not get home and in bed until after 11 p.m. We had dinner with another family. We all really hit it off well, and I hope we can become good friends. So, after a late night, we all slept late this morning. Our breakfast was more like lunch and lunch was an afternoon snack. It’s almost 9 now, and we’re having breakfast again. Breakfast for dinner is one of the fun things we do…well, the kids think it’s great.
What did we do today? I’m so glad you asked. Well, Karl and the boys went to look at toys. They had to buy some birthday gifts for some boys in the family. The girls and I went to Hobby Lobby to buy some craft supplies. Hannah and her new friend Anna spent some time crocheting last night, so Hannah wanted to buy her own stuff today. Hannah found what she wanted. I bought some cross-stitch materials. The picture shows you what I have done so far. I have been inspired by Amy over at Contemplations Amid Chaos to hone my mad skeelz with a needle and thread. I even bought a sewing pattern for a dress for my girls. I can’t do anything with that, though, until I can spend some extended time with my fantastic MIL (she’s teaching me everything I know about sewing). I am a pretty fast-learner for some things, however, when it comes to sewing and other crafts, I am s-l-o-w.
Anyway, we girls had lunch together and ran a few errands. When we got home, Hannah and I situated ourselves on the couch and worked on our projects for a few hours. We had a great time together!
In case you forgot, I am going to draw the name for the book early tomorrow morning. If you’d like to put your name in the hat, there is still time. Just leave a comment. So far, there are only three entries, so there is a good chance you could get a free hardback Max Lucado book.

Go Leslie go! Your stitching is looking great! I’m glad to hear that your MIL is able to help you with sewing. It helps so much to have someone there with you at first. Have fun!
