Reformed in Alabama

Tim is further extending his service to the Body by hosting a list of Reformed conferences around the country taking place in 2007.

I commented that it is very hard to find reformed conferences and such in Alabama. Everything revolves around LifeWay and Beth Moore and PromiseKeepers. Well, two other Alabamians commented along the same vein. I thought I’d set up a post for this discussion just in case anyone linked here from Challies.

  1. There isn’t much reformed where we are either. We have planted a church and hopefully it will continue to grow. I do feel your pain. I really enjoyed your post about election! Great book too!

  2. Hey Leslie,This is Jeri from over at Challies. I live near Birmingham, and I’m so glad to meet you! I’m looking forward to reading your blog. Perhaps God is at work in our state to bring about a revival in His ways. That would be neat. God bless you and yours-Jeri Tanner

  3. I’m glad you enjoyed that post, Jenn. I wasn’t really emphasizing election so much as the gymnastics (and fun) my mind undergoes with Bible study. I was beginning to wonder, since my theological posts don’t get many comments, if folks think I’m weird or they are not interested or if I hit a nerve. “Great book too!” I am assuming you are referring to The Justification of God. It is refreshing for me to know another woman who has read it. I noticed you are reading Horton’s latest. I want to read that one, too.

  4. Hey Jeri,I’m so glad you linked here! I sure hope He does something like that. I am definitely praying to that end. Where do you worship in Birmingham? Do you have a blog? Maybe you could contact me via email or something so we could chat. You mentioned in your comment over at Challies that there were some things going on. I’d really be interested.
