I know that some bloggers get tired of being tagged…well, I have been anxiously awaiting my first tagging! Plainandsimple tagged me! I am so excited! This meme is about the fridge. Let me just say that I am thankful the meme isn’t for the inside of the fridge…HA! The first picture is kind of a caddy-cornered view, so’s you can get the full effect! I wish that I had been tagged a while back. The fridge was COVERED with stuff. I recently cleaned it off when the FlyLady had me scrub the fridge from top to bottom. I know. Bummer.
The next couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure are close ups of the front and side. When Noah saw the camera in my hand he started shouting, “Take my picture!” So, he’s in it. Starting in the top left corner, moving in the direction we read and write (can you tell I’ve taught Kindergarten twice?), I will try to describe what is covering my fridge.
In the upper left corner, you cannot see a picture circa 1990 of my hubs with his siblings and a friend from church. I love this picture because they are wearing their Sunday clothes and posing like gangsters! Next is a Precious Moments card with Hannah’s name and a description. Next, a magnetic chip clip not in use. Next you can see a comic. I love it because the husband writes a note to himself and he needs some tape. He goes into the kitchen to ask his wife for some tape, but they’re all out. “But I need something sticky!” he says. To which his wife replies, “Honey, do you see anything here that isn’t sticky?” The kids are sitting around the table, covered with stickiness, the one in the middle has a fork stuck on his face and he is saying, “Look! No hands!” I love that! Just beside the comic strip is a picture of our two-year-old cousin holding an American flag in front of a war memorial. His dad was in Iraq at the time.
Back to the far left: you may be able to tell that there is a mass of cotton. That’s a cut out of Hannah’s hand with cotton glued to it. It supposed to be a lamb. Cute, huh? Next to that is a doctor’s office appointment card and a menu for the week, held up by our realtor’s magnet. Then, there are coupons for ChuckECheese. Apparently, in a moment of weakness I told the kids I’d take them after they read a certain number of books. Hubby put up a football schedule. Then, there’s a chicken that says “Leslie’s kitchen.” Back to the left, that is a drawing of a mother pterodactyl hovering over her just-hatched baby pterodactyls. At the bottom is a listing of all the kids’ chores. And, Noah-Krakatoa
This side has pictures, more restaurant magnets, the ENT’s magnet, the carpet cleaner’s magnet, and a Promise Keepers magnet. There’s a moose from the Arctic Edge and some recipes I ripped out of magazines. Last, but not least, my what-to-do-in-case-of-emergency guide. I’ve had this since we married! This is one piece of paper that has been on my fridge since I’ve had my own fridge. By God’s grace, I’ve never had to use it. I have had to call poison control more than once, though. Just in case you didn’t know, if your two year old decides to have a snack of toothpaste…he’ll probably be alright.
This was fun! Thanks plainandsimple. I tag Kim, Kim, Jane, Jenn, Mary, and Wendy.

Oh boy. Do I get to beg off since I don’t have a digital camera??? :O)You, however, did a great job showing off your fridge! Mine is also in use on all three sides…and the top is a great place to store unopened juice. I notice you use it for ketchup! :O) Oh for a walk-in pantry!I’ll try to do a fridge post, and thanks for tagging me…
