That family took a devastating event in their lives and allowed God to use it and make something wonderful and beautiful for all of us to see and enjoy, for the glory of God. I have just stood by in awe every week, as they updated their blog. My heart goes out to them. I know they are maintaining a celebratory attitude about the whole thing, but it still hurts terribly, I’m sure. I don’t even know them personally and I’m sitting here crying about it!

Eliot shares my birthday. I have read through that blog several times and I don’t even remember how I got there the first time. Matt has an beautiful gift for expression through words and I too found myself weeping this afternoon. The whole testimony points straight to God and really makes me stop and think about how many *blessings* in my life have come in disguise.

What kindness and thoughtfulness of you to remember Eliot. I just visited their blog. What a great tribute to their son and to God’s glory. Our son Jonah went to heaven in April 2002 due to Trisomy 18, I have such a special place in my heart for families who have to say goodbye to their children. I so appreciated their honesty
