Home again, home again, jiggity jig

Abbey on her way to the lagoon

We are home from our vacation!! We had a very nice time away from the everyday. It’s amazing what a change in scenery can do, isn’t it? We visited the USS Alabama, played golf (the putt-putt variety), played on the beach, played in the lagoon (brought home a few hermit crabs from the lagoon), fished, enjoyed some fine gulf coast cuisine, slept late, and relaxed in THE largest, loveliest beach house I’ve ever had the privilege of living in for a week.

I plan to get back to regular blogging tomorrow. I have a couple of topics rolling around in the ole noggin that I’d like to write about this week: the doctrine of election and the peace available to mothers when considering the election of her children, supporting my statement that doing things in order to hear God speak is divination, another book review, a discussion of chapter 5 of Heaven at Home, and the next installment of my sermon notes (not necessarily in that order). Lord willing, that ought to cover a week of blogging.

  1. Love your pics and I’m looking forward to your week of blogging. I’ve been trying(unsuccessfully) to get more sleep by going to bed earlier and the blog is the first thing I lose time for. Reading them is much easier than typing them. :^)

  9. I had the opportunity to meet Jenn in Montgomery on our way home, but Montgomery isn’t on the way. It’s about two hours out of the way–but what’s two hours compared to like 16, right? UGH!! I’m so disappointed I didn’t press harder to “swing by” Montgomery. At the time, it made more sense to just get home….now, a day later, I’m regretting the decision.
