You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3
Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish my purpose,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass; I have purposed, and I will do it. Isaiah 46:8-11
And he [Jesus] said to them, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 22:37
“And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried.” Luke 12:29
The last phrase in the KJV reads, “neither be ye of doubtful mind.”
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Romans 8:5-7
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
Be renewed in the spirit of your minds. Ephesians 4:23
Have this mind among yourselves…Philippians 2:5
Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:5-8

The battle is in our minds….if we think “wrongly” we are hooped. I spent many years never understanding this. At my care group last night we discussed how to we should view and “arm” or prepare ourselves for suffering. Most of the discussion centered around how we are thinking and if we are applying the gospel in our thought life. Even knowing it still isn’t easy at times.
