and the only thing that didn’t hurt was pointing and clicking with my index finger. I couldn’t even find the wherewithal to hold a book and read it. So, I changed my header. What do you think?
I wanted something for fall. I played around with it on my test blog until I got it to look alright. It’s not great because the picture doesn’t extend across the whole page, but I really like it.
I realize that if a) I don’t want my blog to look exactly the same forever and ever, AND b) I do not want to spend any money on my blog, then I have to teach myself how to write code…languages…stuff…whatever-you-call-it. I know a little bit just from having a blog, but not enough to create/manipulate my own template, which is what I want to do. So, do any of you smart folks out there know where I should start?
By the way, all of your comments and hope-you-get-better-soons made my day! Karl felt better this morning and went to work. Noah and Abbey are much better. Hannah never showed any symptoms, and pretty much stayed away from the rest of us. Benjamin was sick earlier today, but is feeling better now. He has been able to keep his food down this evening. Yay!! I started feeling better by this afternoon. I was afraid all the kids would be feeling great while I needed to stay in bed, which is never good. But, God was gracious: I got out of bed and walked around without moaning. We even did a little school work.
Being sick helped me realize, once again, that God gave me a wonderful husband. He makes me take medicine, which I never think to do for some reason. My first thought is to sleep. Sleep fixes everything, right? He took care of the kids this weekend, went to Jason’s Deli to pick up some yummy soup for me, and took care of several chores so I could go to bed early last night.
I wanted soup again tonight, so I threw something together with the stuff I had in the pantry:
Bow-tie pasta
spinach
carrots
chicken broth
salt and pepper
oregano
Since Karl wasn’t home for dinner, soup qualifies as a meal. It was just for the kids and me. We really enjoyed it! Well, Abbey didn’t enjoy it. She’s going through this thing where she doesn’t like anything I make; all she wants is a cheese sandwich or a pb&j.
I’m not much of a cook, but I like the feeling of adventure that comes with creating a meal with whatever I can find in the kitchen.
Now that I’m feeling better I guess my life will have to get back to “normal.” Tune in tomorrow for more of that random verbiage you’ve come to love and expect from me.

I promise I haven’t got any skills. I just took a picture and wrote my blog’s name on it.

Besides, the template is something Everyday Mommy did for me several months back. She has skills.

I’m so glad you’re feeling better. But I can’t help you at all with blog stuff. In case you didn’t notice, I have NEVER changed mine. No clue how. 🙂

I really like your new picture! If you ever figure out how to write code you’ll have to write a post about it and inform the rest of us! As you know, I’d be blogless without my husband. I’m glad you are feeling better. Being sick is no fun.

I may be in touch very soon to discuss your skeels on the bloggin’. My girls each would like to start writing on their own blog and I am *not* going to pay someone to help me get the colors to change! Your leaves are beautiful :)I am so glad you guys are better. We have had a little yuck running around here too. Chris is out of town…Sam “fru-up” in my bed on Friday night… and I tossed and turned last night and prayed that it would pass me by.It did not.I am better this morning but we have toned school things down a bit, to say the least.I LOVE Jason’s Deli. It is my Number #1 craving these days 🙂

I am well impressed with your header and that you did it yourself! I wouldn’t even know how to find my header much less post a picture there and write my blog’s name on it! Guess I need to work on some skills as well…

Your new header is very, very lovely. I struggled with adjusting photo’s until I was able to get an open Bible across the top of my blog. I know nothing of code. However, I did receive an advertisement from “Coffee Cup.” I had looked into their software for my podcast, but never purchased. I guess they have a book out now to teach code to beginners. If you google “Coffee Cup” I am sure it will pop up. Maybe something like that could help. You go girl.Blessings,
