Can you tell me how to get…

For the last seven weeks, Thursdays have been Readng Classics Together days. Only we finished the book last week, and Tim has yet to announce what our next book will be. Therefore, today I offer you a classic, but you won’t have to read it.

Here’s something you may not know about me: 1) Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, and Fraggle Rock, and pretty much anything thing that comes from the old Jim Henson Productions, will always be one of my favorite things. I don’t really appreciate the new “pc” Jim Henson stuff. 2) Cookie Monster was my favorite Sesame Street muppet. He always got on my nerves the way he desroyed his cookies, but I loved him because he loved cookies as much as I did do. And here he is, feeling the way I do about 25 minutes after dinner when my sweet tooth starts talking. It says, “Where’s my cookie?”

  3. We are so kindred spirits! I secretly covet the entire Jim Henson Muppet Show collection on however many DVDs that they offer on late night infomercials–and not for my kids. My fingers twitch to call.

Did you ever see the Emet Otter’s Jugband Christmas? That one was really good. (I might have the name wrong)

  6. You’re too funny!I had high hopes of reading with Tim online. But reading a book online is not the same. At this stage of my life, I need something I can take with me places. Maybe I’ll try again next time and actually buy the book!

  7. Alicia–YES! We watched E.O.’s Jugband Christmas over and over and over and over again. I need to try to find that one–the kids would love it.Christine–I downloaded the book, printed it, punched holes in it, then put it in a notebook. I don’t like reading books on the computer. I prefer having something in my hands I can carry around, highlight and write notes in.

  8. I loved the Muppet Show. My dad and I always watched it together. We loved those two old guys…we were just talking about them the other day (and laughing, of course)
