Tim Challies has decided that our next Reading Classics Together venture will be Overcoming Sin and Temptation by John Owen, edited by Kelly Kapic and Justin Taylor. He plans to start the new book next Thursday, November 15. I’m excited because I tried to read it last year when it came out, but found it a little too difficult for me to handle on my own. I’m hoping that with the participation of other bloggers I won’t give up so easily.
With RCT starting next week, this may be my last Watching Classics Together post. Then again, I am enjoying it so much I may have to continue.
Today I want to share a clip from The Cosby Show. This was one of my favorite television shows when I was growing up. Since we always ate dinner in front of the t.v., I never missed it! I really wanted to be a Huxtable.
I couldn’t find one of my absolute favorite scenes on youtube, but this one is from the pilot episode and “everyone” remembers it. Enjoy!!

That’s great that you are going to read that and discuss it w/others. I hope that is beneficial for you.We ate in front of the TV too. I have very few (just holidays) memories of sitting at a table together. I always wanted to be a Huxtable too.

We were big Cosby fans too when I was little. My favorite ep was when the family put together a Ray Charles song for the grandparents anniversary and rudy did the solo. ๐

I loved the Cosby Show! We didn’t eat in front of the TV, but we’d hurry up and eat so we could watch it! I was so sad when it ended.
