I forced the kids to watch a little of The Oscars with me tonight. I love a good movie and I enjoy seeing all that glamour. It just so happened that the first part we saw was the Oscar going to Ratatouille for best something animated. Then, we got to see Amy Adams perform “The Happy Working Song” from Enchanted. The next part involved a bunch of stuff about cameras and film, so the kids lost interest. Well, three of them did.
Abbey inherited the I’ll-watch-awards-shows-cuz-I-love-the-glam gene. We’re sitting here in my bedroom. And this is what she keeps saying: “That dress is mine….and the shoes.”
As we watched the performance of “How Does She Know” (also from Enchanted), Abbey sat up and exclaimed, “That dress is mine…
and the wedding dresses…
and the flowers…
and the wedding veils…
and the shoes!”
A beautiful French woman just accepted an award. I wonder if she knows that she is wearing Abbey’s dress and shoes?

ahhh! cute! We watched some of it last night too. I wonder if there were more international award winners last night than in times past? I haven’t watched it in years, so I have no idea, but seemed there were a lot last night. Very neat.

You’re right. There were lots of foreign winners.

I glanced over the glam this morning in pictures. Lots of pretty red dresses (but I don’t wear the color red well so I couldn’t say “that’s ,y dress!). Yeah for “Ratatouille”!
