Reviews of Prince Caspian

Prince Caspian debuts this Friday. Lord willing, we’ll see it tomorrow afternoon. Here are some early reviews:

Christianity Today
The basic storyline is still there, though it has been re-arranged somewhat.

Plugged-In Online (Focus on the Family)
So it’s as Trumpkin says, “You may find Narnia a more savage place than you remember.”

Rotten Tomatoes

Entertainment Weekly
this is a movie that showcases battle

Variety
this new entry is a bit darker, more conventional and more crisply made than its 2005 predecessor…When all is said and done, this is a pretty straightforward war film

Stand to Reason Blog
Here’s my main criticism: The filmmakers still don’t get Aslan. They’ve made him a character rather than the character.

  4. the makers of Prince Caspian kept to the original story better than i would have expected… i had heard they were going to make it into a silly pure-action flick, but thankfully this was not so much the case
