(If you’re not coming over from The Pumpkin Patch, this is my introduction for BlawgHer).
My name is Leslie (if you look over to the left, you can see half of my smiling face). Here are some random things about me:
1. I live in Alabama.
2. I just turned 31.
3. I want to please Jesus in whatever I do.
4. My husband and I will celebrate our 10th anniversary in just a few days.
5. We have four children, two boys and two girls.
6. We do the homeschooling thing, but I don’t wear jumpers.
7. I love to read non-fiction and biography.
8. You can find out a lot more random things about me if you read through my memes.
9. I’m really excited about a face-to-face with some other women bloggers who live in Alabama.
10. I can’t believe so many people like catfish.
11. Alabama is home of the catfish capital of the world. Did you know that?
12. I went to elementary school with a fella who lived on a catfish farm. I remember going to one of his birthday parties that involved feeding and touring their farm.
13. Fish smell.
14. Fish smell yummy after they’ve been fried.
15. I’m looking forward to eating some catfish and hush puppies with y’all.

Oh my! We have #2 through #7 in common (well, I’ll be 31 in the fall) and #10. You lost me with the catfish – we disected one in grade 5 and I’m not sure I’d want to try and eat one! Now salmon on the other hand…yummy…nothing better than fresh BC salmon, BC smoked salmon, etc..etc…Be sure to blog all about your Birmingham Bloggers Bash so those of us who live so far away can enjoy some of the action!

Hey, what I missed wasn’t the name change but the dates on this BlawgHer thingy. I’m looking to you for the info. I’m 4 hours away, so this may have been reserved for the B’ham bloggers only. This curious mind wants to know. Thanks.

We are really hoping to home school. Our oldest just turned four, so it’s almost time. Do you recommend a curriculum? My wife is nervous about starting.I’m giving away a book on my blog and invite you to leave a comment. This is something I hope to do once a month.Thanks!
