I’ve confessed to many things on this blog through various “betcha didn’t know this about me” memes. Here is one tidbit I don’t think I’ve mentioned: I like the blues. And I enjoy Delta Blues more than I like its daughter, Chicago Blues. It’s all good, though.
Son House is one of my favorites. There is something about his voice that really gets to me. This is a video of him performing, “John the Revelator.”

I’ve never heard (or heard of!) Son House until today. I loved the video and can’t wait to learn more about him.(I confess I love the blues, too)

LOOOOOOVVVE that! I haven’t heard of Son House, but I LOVE the Blues!!! We are big Jazz fans too : ) I’m going to have to get some of his music….if that’s even possible…is it???!!

I’ve gained more of an appreciation for blues just getting back from Memphis. There is such a rich history about it.
