The days are just packed

โ€”

(the title of one of our Calvin and Hobbes collections)

Sorry about not posting very much. Life is very busy for us this summer. Our mornings are filled with swimming and our afternoons are for resting and light school work. I thought I’d show you what we’ve been up to since I haven’t the time to write very much.

We have swimming lessons every morning. Four children with different swimming abilities means we are at the pool for almost three hours each day. I get so hot that most of my afternoons are spent trying to cool off. I’m not complaining, just stating the facts. It’s hot here in The South.

Over the weekend, we celebrated Benjamin’s 8th birthday. He wanted it to be outside, an Indiana Jones theme (those with fedoras wore them), and he wanted to go fishing.

Hannah participated in her first swim meet the other day. She swam two events: freestyle and backstroke.

We had a picnic with some of our friends after swimming lessons yesterday.

  1. I liked seeing the pix of your kids and hearing your stories. It all sounds familiar. I also homeschool and thought I was going to have all kinds of time in the summer, but June is over already and life is still so busy.I have posted chapter 14. Thanks.
