I’ve been such a bad blogger! I’m currently sitting in the carline at the high school, waiting for my kids. I think I have time to churn out a short post.

Are you keeping up with current events? I cannot think of another time in my life when so much horror and distress has happened at once.

I realize that this only my perception. And, were it not for the internet, it is quite possible that I wouldn’t know about so many of these things all together at once. It seems like news used to be more spread out; information used to trickle through news outlets and papers. That is no longer the case, and it can be overwhelming.

I mention all of that just to say this: I can’t simply blog while the world is in turmoil. I find myself in stunned silence and disbelief after reading an article or watching a video. Then, I usually make the mistake of reading comments. Ugh. A vast majority of people simply do not need to comment on issues of importance. Flippant comments regarding complex issues only add fuel to an already raging fire.

On the other hand, some problems are black-and-white, right-and-wrong, and the solution is simple. Those are the ones most difficult for me to process.

So many terrible things are happening, and very little seems to be getting done to stop or repair them, which frustrates and angers me, which leads to a dormant blog.

There’s the bell; time to move.

Here’s a picture of Abbey and Noah doing their school work yesterday.

One Comment on “Hello.

  1. And yet God has not grown weary, nor does He sleep, there is nothing out of His control. He is always at work as Isaiah 40 says:
    “The LORD is the everlasting God,
    the Creator of the ends of the earth.
    He does not faint or grow weary;
    his understanding is unsearchable.”
    If you must be dormant, let it be in His care.
