Book Sale!

WTS Bookstore is having a sale this month on children’s resources and books. The titles listed in this sale are 50% off until June 26. And, as always, the shipping is $5 no matter the size of your order. They use UPS every time. I love ordering from their store because the shipping is inexpensive and fast. I placed my last order on Monday and received my package by Thursday. I don’t think Amazon can beat that!

These look really interesting:

My children love Pilgrim’s Progress. We read a children’s version of it to them. Then, Hannah turned around and read it again by herself. I think they would really appreciate an illustrated version like this.

In this one, Joni Eareckson Tada and Bobbie Wolgemuth collaborate to help you teach your children 12 classic hymns, true stories of the hymn writers, and scripture. The book comes with a cd of the hymns backed by an orchestra. This book looks like it would be fun to do as a family. This would be an ideal book to have if you’re part of a church that does not use a hymnal at all and you want your children to know some hymns. Not only that, but hymnody is a great way to teach deep spiritual truths to children.

I have seen this storybook mentioned on several of my favorite blogs. This book has been out for about one month and it’s already a best-seller. This one is unique in that it presents the story of salvation through Jesus as the emphasis of the whole Bible, beginning in Genesis. All of the Bible storybooks we have present the Bible stories as stand-alone stories, and Jesus isn’t mentioned until the New Testament portion. I think this would be an excellent one to have!

  2. Thanks for posting this! I have the first one, but have been eyeing the next two on the list. I guess now is the time to buy! BTW, do you get any credit if we buy after you’ve linked? I took a look around the site and there are others I think I’ll buy too.

  3. Christina–No, I only get points when someone clicks from my blog to their store. I don’t get anything extra if you buy books. Everything is based on clicks from here.
