The Best Stories

I am always sad when I turn the last page to find a blank one.

Me, too.Even when I’ve read the book over and over and over.I still get teary when I get to the last page of LOTR. When I read it aloud, I actually cry. Out loud.Sniff.

  2. I think I cried more after my most recent reading of LOTR than I ever have.Rowling left me in tears at the end of this last Potter book, too.

  3. I’m the same way. It’s like saying good-bye to good friends when you’ve really enjoyed the book – especially when it’s a series. I read a book once that left me feeling so sad for days after finishing it, and I kept reminding myself these are just fictional characters! And I always cry at the end of the LOTR books, too.

Okay email me and let me know if he dies or not. I don’t want anyone to spill the beans here for all to see.I don’t read the books, but I have enjoyed the movies. However, I’m a few movies behind everyone else since I wait for DVD :)So just email me and tell me. Dead or not? 🙂

  8. So did this post come as a result of the final HP? I just got it – haven’t started it.sidenote: I’m making myself finish another book first – I REALLY need to be more disciplined about reading. Josh has recently pointed out that I have like 20ish books half-read laying around open to mark my spot. He hates that I don’t take care of the spines better. =)Anyway, I’m going to wait until I’ve finished it to post my HP post. =)

  9. and btw, I don’t think I’ve ever CRIED because a book was finished, although I do know the feeling wanting more SO badly. If I cry from reading it is usually because I empathize a little too strongly with a character or because something communicated in the book really resonates in me.
