Bringing up old stuff

Nicole tagged me for the archive meme. Like she said, “This one is fun, because I get to link from my own archives.” I enjoyed looking through the old stuff. The point of this meme is to choose five posts in the following categories: family, friends, me, something I love, and anything I like, so that you can read some posts you’ve never read.

Family: Boys and Girls
I have 84 posts tagged, “My Family,” and it was so hard to choose just one. I decided to go with a funny one involving my kids.

Friends: I made some new friends in 2006. Here is a post about how we met, Sisters in Christ. And this is the post about our last meeting, The Chocolate Fountain. I am thrilled that we are still friends, and that I have the privilege of learning from these women and serving with them in our church.

Me: Sometimes I have to fight depression.

Something I love: You are already well aware that I love books. Do you know that I also love SEC Football? ROOOOOOLLLL TIDE, ROLL! Say it with me, “Alabama has the #1 recruiting class in the nation.” Doesn’t that make your heart flutter?

Anything I like: One of my earliest posts is about vacuum cleaners and sex. I get tons of traffic from a Google search phrase, “nobody does it like you.” This is so embarrassing. I just read over that old post and laughed my head off. It is a perfect example of my tendency to go overboard and take myself too seriously.

Now I get to tag five bloggers: Kelly, Kim, Lisa, Shawnda, and Amanda

  1. Hey Leslie,I enjoyed reading your old posts (again). Your comments under “Something I love” about Alabama football struck a chord with me as well. My heart doesn’t flutter about being #1 in recruiting, but it DOES flutter and bring tears to my eyes when I hear the Million Dollar Band play “Yea Alabama” because it brings back such wonderful memories of my campus days at Alabama–being there when the “Bear” was coaching was extra special (those years were great!)and makes me very proud to say I’m a BAMA graduate 2 times over!Love you and look forward to seeing y’all soon! ROLLLLL TIDE, ROLL!!!!Terry
