I am home from another camping trip and have a few pictures to share. Camping has quickly become one of my favorite things.
A thick layer of leaves covered the ground.

Friday night, I enjoyed a cloudless sky.

I opened my tent Saturday morning to this sunrise.

I have an opportunity to backpack one weekend next month. I haven’t decided if I’m adventurous enough for backpacking. Plus, there’s something about the illusion of safety that a campground offers that I’m not quite ready to relinquish. What do you think? Should I go for it? Maybe I should ask my back…
(These photos were taken at Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama. It is a beautiful park with lots of hiking trails and a breathtaking nighttime scenic overlook of Huntsville. I look forward to camping there again sometime.)

Camping is awesome. We have camped all over Alabama. I highly recommend Cheaha State Park, DeSoto Falls State Park and Tannehill Historical State Park, among others.

I’d backpack with you if it weren’t in DECEMBER!

You just need to get a zero degree mummy bag to sleep in. I bought one for this trip and slept like a baby both nights!
