Me: I’ve read several bloggers recently sharing their “word” for the year or their personal verse for the year. Let’s choose one for our family.

Karl: I wish you had mentioned it earlier in the day. I don’t want to think about anything special right now.

Me: Well, don’t think about it. Just tell me the first word that comes to mind.

Karl: Discipline.

Me: Discipline. Really? I was thinking a little more fun, like ADVENTURE.

Karl: Adventures in Discipline.
