Around the Interwebs

Today is a special day for our little family: we are celebrating Abbey’s 7th birthday.  Since most of my energies are going toward throwing a small party for her and a few of her girlfriends, my blog offering today is a round-up of internet pages that have caught my interest the last few weeks.

First, A Complete Thought wants everyone to know why socialization is not a problem for homeschoolers.

John shared a story from one of his pastor’s sermons that reminded him that “if we really believe in a sovereign God who hears prayers, [God answering our prayers] shouldn’t be surprising.”

Two noteworthy posts from my friend Lisa at Lisa Writes…: A Word to the Weary: Remember Eternity (this “Word to the Weary” is a series she has been writing based on her reading of Spiritual Depression by D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones; you may want to read all of the posts in her series).  The second post of hers I’d like to draw attention to is Jesus Is Better, in which Lisa shares her concern for women who substitute fanaticism for Beth Moore for a real relationship with Jesus.

Finally, Justin Taylor compiles an FAQ on the difference between Mormonism and Biblical Christianity.  Very helpful right now.

Have fun reading these and have a wonderful day!
